About

I am a lover of books, slow coffee, the mountains & forest, the sound of moving water, animals, quiet moments, a slow pace, a seeker of life’s simple pleasures and I’m learning to embrace the perfectly imperfect things of life.   I enjoy reading, cross-stitching, crocheting, knitting, quilting, weaving, gardening, animals, music, homesteading and photography.  I also enjoy writing so I started this blog to share some of my photography and the happenings from day to day with family and friends and anyone wanting to live a farm life vicariously through us (wink!).

I grew up in the city but have always loved the beauty of nature, animals and wildlife however, I did not realize there was life beyond the city!  That is, until I married a wonderful country boy that I met at work.  After a few years of living in the suburbs we decided to move to the country; back to his roots.  Immediately I felt at home and at peace in the country.  It was there that our dream of owning a small farm some day began to develop and we set out to make that ‘some day’ happen.

In 2015 we bought and moved to our twenty acre dream farm and are working to renovate the ‘ol farmhouse and reclaim the grounds.  Stick around and you’ll see a bit of all it… the good, the bad, and the ugly!  Thanks for stopping by and taking some time out of your day to spend some time at Dream Valley Farmstead!
