Out of sorts & pulling out all the stops

I’ve had a time today getting motivated to do anything creative.

My lack of motivation might have something to do with the fact that I woke up in the middle of the night last night with a sore throat. Not good. A sore throat is a red flag for me that I am about to come down with something.

I have pulled out all the stops today trying to nip whatever is trying to mess with my immune system.

Orange juice at breakfast for vitamin C and an Inner Defense capsule from Young Living. I was out of Colloidal Silver so I made some more today and have had 2 out of 3 ounces so far. I’m on my second cuppa hot Thieves tea with Lemon and raw local honey. I also had a large glass of homemade Blueberry-Ginger Green Tea Kombucha and lots of water. I’ve been diffusing Thieves & Lemon and Thieves & Eucalyptus Radiata all day and I soaked in a hot bath with Epsom Salt, Thieves and Eucalyptus. This evening I will apply a blend of Lemon, Lavender, Peppermint and Copaiba on the bottoms of my feet at bedtime in case it’s seasonally related. With an arsenal like that I’m determined to nip this in the bud. Ain’t nobody got time for that kinda nonsense!

Speaking of being under-the-weather our grey cat, Greyfus, is under-the-weather as well.

After some research I discovered that Colloidal Silver is safe for cats so she has been getting a half dropper full for the past two days. What’s Colloidal Silver you ask? It’s the original, natural antibiotic before synthetics were invented. In just two days she appears to be doing much better. I will continue the half dropper until she shows no signs of being sick.

Disclaimer – I am not a physician, naturopath or herbologist but I know my body and I know how to research natural alternatives which is always my first line of defense. I prefer to give my body a chance to heal itself before seeking synthetics. I also prefer to treat our animals holistically when at all possible.

This morning dawned dreary and drizzly.

The fog quickly disappeared as did the rain which was a good thing as the young’uns were full of energy as evidenced by Sissy climbing up the arbor.

This is what happens when they don’t get to prowl during the night because of the rain. Silly kitties!

Now while I was not able to get a creative bone in my body to create something I did manage to swap out my closet replacing winter clothes for summer clothes and managed to get the laundry done as well as vacuum the house.

CountryBoy did a little more demo in what will be a full bathroom upstairs and he managed to get the lawn mowed in a light rain. Then we sat down, watched a movie (well he watched it, I glanced every now and then!) and ate popcorn.

It will be an early night for me as I head to bed to try and beat this thing.

I hope y’all are well and (because I can’t resist) May the 4th be with you – HA!
